Don't you hate it when you are in middle of something important or you have been working on suddenly disappears. The computer you have probably cannot cope any longer and moves like a snail. The next thing you will be doing is asking how can I make my computer faster.

If the memory in your computer is full, you cannot expect your computer to run at rocket's pace. There should be plenty of available memory. So delete all the old files you probably do not need any more. Or even better store it in a disk or USB.

Free up the clutter in your computer. You should every week or month try to make time to get rid of all temporary downloads and cookies. There may be even outdated software or games you do not use anymore, send them to recycle bin.

You must also clean the recycle bin often. If you put junk into the computer, that is what you are going to get from it. It may just stop moving or freeze until you have to do a manual shutdown. Its just very annoying.

You can also defragment the drive and clean the registry where all your files and activities get recorded. You can also go for a bigger RAM and upgrade it from a computer professional.

If you have a customized desktop or any animations, turn them off for some time. Also open the task manager when your computer is stuck and end the program from there and start again. Sometimes starting up again also works.

Do a disk cleanup. For this go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and click on Disk Cleanup. You can also delete the temporary files from here. Do all these or just a few and you know how you can make your computer faster.
